About The Artist

Artwork By Jeroen van der Meer

I am a full-time professional artist from the Netherlands, and my work is shaped by the flat northern light, open horizons, and quiet order of the Dutch landscape. I compose paintings from measured planes, softened geometry, and carefully weighted colour, letting proportion and spacing carry the emotion. Although my work is restrained, each canvas is built slowly, with layers adjusted until the balance feels inevitable. I am committed to creating original works that bring calm structure into contemporary interiors. For me, painting is an act of editing: removing noise until only light, rhythm, and clarity remain.
