Alessio Varenna

I am a full-time professional artist from Italy, and my practice explores the point where painting, architecture, and sculptural surface meet. I draw inspiration from aged stone, plaster, structural planes, and the movement of light across built environments. Through layered mineral textures, restrained geometry, and carefully controlled tonal contrast, I create original works with a strong physical presence that never overwhelms the surrounding space. I approach each painting as both an image and an object, with craftsmanship, proportion, and material discipline at its core. My long-term aim is to develop work that feels timeless, architectural, and quietly atmospheric.
