Eleanor Hayes

I am a full-time professional artist from the United States, and my daily practice focuses on light, proportion, open space, and the expressive possibilities of a reduced composition. I work with pale tonal fields, measured lines, quiet intervals, and finely textured surfaces to create paintings that feel clear rather than empty. Every decision is deliberate, from the temperature of an ivory or mist-grey passage to the placement of a single linear element. I am committed to producing original, carefully resolved works that bring calm and luminosity to contemporary interiors. For me, minimalism requires discipline, craftsmanship, close attention, and continual refinement.

The current Avoryne selection focuses on flowing ribbons of raised paint, using coordinated blue-white, green-ivory and warm contrasting palettes. Related works are grouped by palette, subject elements and surface texture; format and composition may vary within a series.
