I am a full-time professional artist from Ireland, and my work is rooted in the physical language of weathered earth, rock, erosion, pressure, and time. I build dense mineral surfaces through layering, scraping, compression, and partial removal, allowing each painting to retain the memory of its making. Umber, rust, slate, limestone, and carbon form the foundation of my palette. I am committed to producing original works with a grounded, enduring presence suited to substantial contemporary spaces. For me, art is a material discipline requiring strength, patience, craftsmanship, and continual attention to how raw texture can be shaped into balanced form.
The current Avoryne selection focuses on weathered mineral surfaces, eroded layers and fissures in earth, oxidised blue, green and dark metallic palettes. Related works are grouped by palette, subject elements and surface texture; format and composition may vary within a series.
