Choosing Nursery & Kids Room Wall Art
Art for children should be joyful, gentle and spark imagination. This collection gathers hand-painted pieces that suit nurseries and kids rooms: dreamlike storybook scenes, playful cartoon characters, soft florals, pastel landscapes and whimsical animals.
Which styles suit this room?
Soft pastels and storybook scenes suit nurseries; playful cartoons and colorful landscapes suit older children; sports scenes suit active kids. See cartoon art.
Where should the painting hang?
Hang art above a crib, changing table or bed, securely fixed with appropriate hardware. In nurseries, keep paintings away from the crib edge.
What size should I choose?
Medium sizes suit most children's rooms. A pair or triptych above a bed creates a gentle focal point.
Which paintings suit a child's room?
Gentle storybook scenes and soft color. Blue Memory by Declan O’Brien shows a figure on a green hill watching a line of tiny sheep cross a pastel sky; Lucent Passage by Jeroen van der Meer follows a snail racing toward a finish line; Faint Dialogue by Sofia Alvarez paints children playing with a garden hose on a summer lawn; and Muted Rhythm by Min-Jun Park is a calm triptych of rounded olive shapes on sage.
How do I hang art safely in a child's room?
Fix each painting with hardware rated for its weight and your wall, and avoid hanging heavy pieces directly above a crib or within a child’s reach. A frameless stretched canvas is the lightest presentation.
Will the art still suit the room as my child grows?
Soft abstracts and gentle landscapes suit a nursery and still work in an older child’s room or a guest room later. Storybook and cartoon scenes give younger children something to look at and talk about.
How are these paintings made?
Each painting is made by hand from the selected design after you order, usually in 1–2 weeks, and you approve photos or video of the finished painting before it ships. Choose rolled canvas, a frameless stretched canvas or a black, white, wood, gold or silver frame.

Before you order
Avoryne paintings are made to order from selected designs. A design may be painted more than once, with natural variations in brushwork, color, and surface details. We share a finished-painting preview for approval before dispatch. Confirm the available size, finish, and timing for your chosen artwork.
